Aroid Substrate Set
Coco coir, pine bark, perlite and lava rock are included separately so you can adjust the balance of moisture and air around aroid roots. This is a set of ingredients for home mixing, not a fixed, ready-mixed bag.
Our starting proportions
Measure 4 parts coco coir, 3 parts pine bark, 2 parts perlite and 1 part lava rock by volume.
Match the root system
Young plants and fine roots need more contact with the mix. Large rooted climbers can use a coarser texture; water according to how your finished mix actually dries.
