Zimmerpflanzen mit ovalen Blättern

Ovale Blätter finden sich bei kompakten Peperomia, verzweigten Ficus, horstig wachsenden Blattschmuckpflanzen, Ranken und vielen weiteren Gattungen. Die Grundform kann mit sehr unterschiedlichen Blattgeweben und Oberflächen verbunden sein: glänzend oder samtig, glatt oder reliefartig, dünn, fest oder sukkulent.

Blattgröße, Sprossaufbau, Endbreite und Wuchsrichtung bestimmen den späteren Platzbedarf. Lichtbedarf, Wasseranspruch und Haustierverträglichkeit richten sich nach der genauen Art. Für das Zusammenspiel von Licht, Wasser und Substrat ist die botanische Zuordnung entscheidend. Viele Arten gedeihen bei hellem, indirektem Licht. Feuchtigkeitsliebende und trockenheitsverträgliche Pflanzen erhalten beim Gießen jeweils einen Rhythmus, der zu ihren Wurzeln und ihrem natürlichen Standort passt.
